So far,so good.

The money is transfered into the Navajeevan-account.
The result out of many discussions in the last few days
is the buttonhole machine, that we are going to invest in.

This machine fits into the concept of the tailory and the
market is just screaming after such a machine.

Another thing that might be very interesting for the future of UNIQFORM is
the peanut factory in zürich. Some really interesting people come together here
and create more than just work for everyone. the website is not up, but i ll let you

Finally I find the time to update my blog. sorry for that folks, but there was so many things to do after the fashionshow. all went well and we managed to sell so far over 75 shirts. thats great! I ve never thought that this would be such a success.

last saturday we brought out all the shirts, got us a beautiful model ( cosima ) and went for a shooting ( fotographer: gina folly ). I m happy with the results. But see for your self!

I m flying to India on sunday. In the next two weeks I will take pictures, do interviews and shot a littel movie about the tailor-boys in Vijayawada.
I will hopefully come back to Switzerland with 200 indian school-uniforms.

As it looks the date is going to be shifted from the 03.06 to the 04.06.
There is a football-game on the 03.06 that would bring the wrong crowd to the location.
"Pfingstsonntag" could be even better because the following monday is off.

Yesterday I was visiting CAMPARI. The meeting was hold on a bar in the entrance of the office-that made the negotiation about sponsoring money quite relaxed and comfortable. I m looking forward to hear from Peter and Tamara.

Finally I was sending the contracts to all the potential designers. I was never ever thinking of sending letters to all over the world for this project: Paris, London, New York, Amsterdam, Venice, Zurich and Basel.

I m really looking forward to hear from all these people and I can’t wait to see what they are able to do with a school-uniform.

The location and the date for the fashion show and the party is set and a lot of work is waiting for my crew and me.

First of all we need to prepare for the two weeks in India in the beginning of March...it’s going to be hot in many ways++

The book "MODE, MARKEN, MÄRKTE" by Marcel Bühler and Elisa Fuchs seems to be a good reading for my project.
It talks specifically about globalization in the fashion sector. I think I can gain some valueable knowledge that will be helpful for the project.

First of all UNIQFORM needs to do a research about importing clothes to Switzerland.
As far as we know at the moment there is a 7.6% tax fee( more value fee) on the ground price of the shirts. On top of that there is a weight fee that must be paid by UNIQFORM: Usually this is 200Fr. Per 100Kg

Superflex has collaborated with Danish and African engineers to construct a simple, portable biogas unit that can produce sufficient gas for the cooking and lighting needs of an African family. This sound energy system produces biogas from organic materials, such as human and animal stools. For a modest sum, an African family will be able to buy such a biogas system and achieve self-sufficiency in energy. The plant produces approx. 4 cubic metres of gas per day from the dung from 2-3 cattle. This is enough for a family of 8-10 members for cooking purposes and to run one gas lamp in the evening.
